Fifteen projects awarded $2.029 million from Civic and Community Center Financing Fund

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development has awarded $2,029,420 from its Civic and Community Center Financing Fund (CCCFF) to 15 cities for projects related to the development and/or renovation of civic, community and recreation centers. This includes building new and renovating or expanding existing facilities (including converting, rehabilitating or reusing historic buildings), and conducting planning studies (engineering and technical).

Chet Ager Building, Most Trails Reopen at Nature Center

The Chet Ager Building and most of the trails have reopened at the Pioneers Park Nature Center. The facilities were closed last week after flooding. Some trail segments will remain closed until further notice.

McCook EDC awarded $297,060 Site and Building Development funding

McCook EDC is using the funding to help American Agricultural Laboratory, specializing in soil and tissue testing for the national and international agriculture markets, to renovate and retrofit the former 90x40-sq. ft. Hudl to Build Headquarters, Create New Jobs in West Haymarket

Hudl expects to add up to 300 new high-tech jobs over the next three years. Hudl is partnering with one of its investors, Nelnet, which plans to use the building for additional growth, including the expansion of its software development team in Lincoln.
