Water Main Replacement Set to Begin May 11

WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 1, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Beginning Monday, May 11, several streets north of Vine between 22nd and 26th streets will be temporarily closed in phases for the replacement of the water main. The main is being replaced on the following streets:

Lynn Street from 23rd to 25th streets
“W” Street from 22nd to 26th streets
23rd Street from Vine to “W” streets
26th Street from Vine to “W” streets
The project also includes the transfer of water service to a new main on 25th Street from Lynn to “W” streets. The project is expected to take until late August-early September, with sod replacement scheduled for September.

During construction, access to driveways may be restricted at times, with the roadways open to local traffic only from side streets. The City and the project contractor will work with residences and businesses to provide access during construction.
