PSC Allows Big Rivers Deal to Sell Electricity in Nebraska

The Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) has approved a settlement that permits Big Rivers Electric Corp. to sell wholesale power to several customers in Nebraska. In an order issued today, the PSC said revenue from the contracts – although relatively modest - should help pay a portion of Big Rivers’ fixed operating costs that would otherwise be borne by its Kentucky customers.

Short-Term Bill Allows for Long-Term Highway Solution

Fifteen projects awarded $2.029 million from Civic and Community Center Financing Fund

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development has awarded $2,029,420 from its Civic and Community Center Financing Fund (CCCFF) to 15 cities for projects related to the development and/or renovation of civic, community and recreation centers. This includes building new and renovating or expanding existing facilities (including converting, rehabilitating or reusing historic buildings), and conducting planning studies (engineering and technical).

Chet Ager Building, Most Trails Reopen at Nature Center

The Chet Ager Building and most of the trails have reopened at the Pioneers Park Nature Center. The facilities were closed last week after flooding. Some trail segments will remain closed until further notice.

Committee Investigates EPA’s Attack on Power Plants
