SALMANSON CAPITAL ACQUIRES OFF-CAMPUS STUDENT HOUSING NEAR UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA FOR $7.65 MILLION
MANHATTAN, NY - March 9, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- Salmanson Capital, LLC, a Manhattan-based real estate firm that specializes in the acquisition and repositioning of student housing assets, has acquired an off-campus student housing complex serving University of Nebraska undergraduate students for $7.65 million.
FAIR HOUSING CONFERENCE PLANNED FOR APRIL
Lincoln, NE - March 26, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — In observance of National Fair Housing Month, the Lincoln Commission on Human Rights (LCHR) will present its annual Fair Housing Conference April 21 and 22 at the Cornhusker Marriott in Lincoln. This year's focus is on public housing with a session targeted at the needs of public housing authorities. There is no registration fee to attend the conference, however, there is a charge of $25 to attend the Awards Luncheon April 22. The registration deadline is April 6.
LINCOLN AWARDED $1.63 MILLION IN HOMELESS GRANTS
Mayor Chris Beutler today announced that local agencies serving the homeless have been awarded a record $1,630,861 million in federal grants. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awards “Continuum of Care” grants through a competitive process. The grants provide permanent and transitional housing as well as job training, health care, mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment and child care.
