NELSON CALLS FOR AUDIT OF OMAHA HOUSING AUTHORITY

City Gives Building Owners 10 Days To Take Action On Damaged Buildings

March 9, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- Mayor Chris Beutler said the City today sent dangerous building notices to the owners of two "O" Street buildings damaged by fire December 12. The notices give the owners 10 days to repair or demolish the buildings between 9th and 10th streets that housed Romantix and a former piano business. If no action is taken in 10 days, the City can proceed with demolition of both buildings and bill the owners for the expense.

$350,000 awarded Wayne Community Housing Development Corporation for Purchase/Rehab/Resell program

LINCOLN, NB - January 21, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) has awarded Wayne Community Housing Development Corporation (WCHDC) in Wayne, Neb., $350,000 in HOME funding earmarked for Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO) to purchase and rehabilitate up to 12 homes and resell them to qualifying low- and middle-income families. The HOME funding is administered by DED.
