$250,000 awarded to CORE Development Inc., for housing rehab program

LINCOLN, NE – December 10, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — The Nebraska Department of Economic Development has awarded CORE Development, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit, $250,000 in HOME funds through a Nebraska Affordable Housing Program (NAHP) 2010 set aside grant to rehabilitate eight owner-occupied homes in Amelia, Brunswick, Chambers, Clearwater, Orchard, Inman, Ewing, Elgin, Neligh, Oakdale, Royal, Page and all of Antelope County.

The homes will benefit low- or median-income people earning at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI).

The project is an extension of CORE’s successful and ongoing housing program. CORE has operated similar programs in the past with Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Funds and HOME funds.
