Fortenberry Amendment Aids Rural Energy Development

Washington, D.C. - July 8, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) – Congressman Jeff Fortenberry this evening successfully amended the House Agricultural Appropriations Act, enhancing the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP). The REAP program promotes renewable energy and energy self-sufficiency developments in rural America by funding a wide range of renewable energy projects that stimulate rural economies, help create jobs, and address environmental concerns.

NIFA’s Homeownership team recently held annual lender training meetings at the LaVista Conference Center on October 17th and at the Holiday Inn Express in North Platte on October 18th. At these events, awards were presented to the Top Producers and Shining Stars. Top Producer awards are given to the top ten loan officers who originate the most NIFA loans for first-time homebuyers in Nebraska in 2015.
