WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 5, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The public is invited to help StarTran “Stuff the Bus” by donating new items needed by women and children at the Friendship Home, a 24-hour emergency shelter for women and their children experiencing domestic violence.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, StarTran buses will be parked at these locations:
the Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores at 27th and Superior
the Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores at 87th and Highway 2
the east Wal-Mart at 84th and Adams
Items needed include diapers, toilet paper, towels, sheets, pillows, kitchenware, pots and pans, toiletries, laundry and cleaning supplies, batteries, hair care products, laundry baskets, lamps, vacuum cleaners and other small appliances. Cash donations also are accepted, and raffle tickets can be purchased for $1 for a chance to win prizes.
Friendship Home provides safe, confidential shelter, support and services that help equip women and children to start new lives free from violence. “Stuff the Bus” is cosponsored by Three Eagles Communications and Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club.
