$80,900 awarded Keith County Housing Dev. Corp. to purchase, rehab and resell home

LINCOLN, NEB. – August 24, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — The Nebraska Department of Economic Development has awarded Keith County Housing Development Corporation, a non-profit 501 (c)(3), $80,900 in Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Funds to purchase, rehabilitate and resell a home in Ogallala to a family earning at or below 100 percent of the Area Median Income. 

Rehabilitation costs, which will include lead paint test risk assessment, will not exceed $24,999 to keep the home’s price more affordable for the qualifying family. Energy efficiency and Energy Star appliances will be key components.

The qualifying homebuyer also will receive $5,000 down payment/closing cost assistance, and be required to attend a REACH Homebuyer education class.
