$100,000 awarded to Panhandle Area Development District for regional housing rehab program

LINCOLN, NEB. – June 19, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Panhandle Area Development District (PADD) has received $100,000 in Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund (NAHTF) money to establish a regional owner-occupied housing rehabilitation program serving Scotts Bluff, Box Butte and Morrill counties. NAHTF is administered by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.

Five homes will be rehabilitated in the three counties. The homes will benefit low- or median-income people earning at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI).

PADD has administered more than 11 housing rehabilitation programs, including a recent program that rehabbed eight homes in Mitchell, Morrill and Lyman.
